Superb Scotland Tours - Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings made with Superb Scotland Tours (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking, you (“you”, “the Customer”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
We aim to provide memorable, safe, enjoyable and professionally operated tours throughout Scotland. These Terms explain how bookings work, what you can expect from us, and what we ask from you.
1. About Us
Superb Scotland Tours provides private guided tours and travel experiences throughout Scotland.

2. Booking a Tour
A booking request becomes a confirmed booking when:
- we have accepted your booking request; and
- you have received written confirmation from us; and
- any required deposit or payment has been received.
A contract exists between you and Superb Scotland Tours once your booking has been confirmed.
You are responsible for ensuring that all booking information provided is accurate, including:
- dates
- passenger numbers
- collection and drop-off locations
- special requirements
- mobility/accessibility needs
- any other relevant information
3. Prices and Payment
Tour prices are confirmed at the time of booking.
Unless otherwise agreed:
- deposits must be paid as stated at the time of booking
- full payment must be received as stated before the tour date
- bookings are not considered confirmed until payment requirements are met
We reserve the right to amend prices where there are significant changes outside our control, including but not limited to:
- government charges
- taxes
- ferry costs
- attraction fees
- fuel costs
- supplier price increases
Any price changes will be discussed with you before applying.
4. Payment Security
Payments are processed through secure payment providers where applicable.
We do not store full payment card details.
5. Cancellation by You
We understand plans can change.
Cancellation terms:
- Cancellation more than 30 days before travel: will be refunded in full, minus your deposit.
- Cancellation between 15 and 30 days before travel: will be refunded at 75%, minus your deposit.
- Cancellation within 7 days of travel or failure to attend: will be refunded at 50%, minus your deposit.
Where refunds are due, these will be processed within a reasonable timeframe.
We recommend customers obtain suitable travel insurance to cover unexpected circumstances.
6. Cancellation or Changes by Us
We may need to cancel or alter a tour due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:
- severe weather
- road closures
- safety concerns
- vehicle issues
- government restrictions
- events affecting access
Where possible, we will offer:
- an alternative arrangement
- a rescheduled date or
- an appropriate refund where required
We are not responsible for additional costs you incur, including accommodation, flights, transport or other arrangements.
7. Changes to Your Tour
We design tours carefully but Scotland’s conditions can change.
We may adjust routes, timings or stops where necessary for:
- safety
- weather
- operational reasons
- attraction availability
- local conditions
We will always aim to maintain the quality and spirit of your experience.
8. Your Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- behave respectfully towards guides, drivers, suppliers and other visitors
- follow reasonable safety instructions
- comply with laws and local regulations
- provide accurate information relevant to the tour
We reserve the right to end participation where behaviour creates a safety risk, causes disruption, or affects the enjoyment of others.
No refund will normally be provided in these circumstances.
9. Health, Fitness and Accessibility
Many Scottish tours involve outdoor locations, uneven ground, walking, steps or changing weather conditions.
Customers must advise us before booking of any:
- mobility limitations
- medical conditions
- accessibility requirements
- other factors that may affect participation
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests where possible.
10. Children and Young People
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Customers are responsible for ensuring appropriate child seats or safety arrangements where required.
11. Alcohol, Drugs and Smoking
Illegal drugs are not permitted on or around the tour.
We reserve the right to refuse travel to anyone who appears intoxicated or whose behaviour may compromise safety.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside vehicles.
12. Vehicles and Transport
Where transport is provided:
- vehicles will meet required legal and safety standards
- drivers will hold appropriate licences and insurance
Vehicle availability may change where operationally necessary.
13. Liability
We take reasonable care to provide safe, enjoyable and professionally delivered tours.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is not permitted by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for:
- indirect losses
- missed onward travel
- personal expenses
- events outside our reasonable control
14. Personal Belongings
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings.
We are not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal items unless caused by our negligence.
15. Photography and Marketing
We may occasionally take photographs during tours for marketing purposes.
We will respect customer privacy and will not knowingly use identifiable images without permission where permission is required.
Customers may request that images are not used.
16. Complaints
We want every customer to enjoy their experience.
If you have a concern, please tell your driver as soon as possible so we have the opportunity to resolve it.

17. Data Protection
We process personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR.

18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts, unless otherwise required by law.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The Terms applying to your booking will be those in place at the time your booking is confirmed.
