Half Day tour
Step into the world of Outlander on this private half-day tour, visiting three of the series’ most iconic filming locations. Explore Midhope Castle, better known as Lallybroch, discover the mighty Blackness Castle, and wander the historic grounds of Linlithgow Palace, which doubled as Wentworth Prison. Perfect for fans short on time, this relaxed, bespoke experience brings the drama, history, and breathtaking scenery of Scotland to life.
Midhope Castle – Lallybroch
Our first destination is one of the most beloved locations in the entire series: Midhope Castle, known to millions as Lallybroch, Jamie Fraser's cherished family home.
Standing before the iconic front steps, you'll instantly recognise the setting where Claire found family, friendship, and a place to call home. The peaceful surroundings make it easy to imagine Jamie’s sister, Jenny Fraser, marching across the courtyard, issuing orders while everyone else
pretends they're in charge.
With plenty of time for photographs, you'll have the opportunity to soak in the atmosphere and feel like you’re a part of one of Outlander's most treasured locations.
Blackness Castle – Fort William
From charming village life to imposing military might, our next stop is Blackness Castle, which served as Captain "Black Jack" Randall's garrison headquarters of Fort William Fort William in the series.
Jutting dramatically into the Firth of Forth, the fortress earned the nickname "the ship that never sailed" due to its unique shape.
Here you'll hear stories of the real castle's turbulent past while revisiting some of the series' most dramatic moments. The views alone are worth the visit, offering breathtaking panoramas across the water and towards the distant Highlands. Thankfully, unlike Jamie Fraser, you'll be free to leave
whenever you please.
Linlithgow Palace – Wentworth Prison
Our adventure continues at the magnificent Linlithgow Palace. This grand royal residence provided the exterior setting for Wentworth Prison, one of the most unforgettable locations in the Outlander story.
While the palace's real history is considerably more regal than its television role, its dramatic architecture made it the perfect filming location. As the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, it offers a fascinating glimpse into Scotland's royal past alongside its Outlander connections.
The impressive ruins and stunning loch-side setting make this a highlight for history lovers and television fans alike.
South Queensferry & The Forth Bridges

Should time allow, we'll stop in the picturesque town of South Queensferry.
Here you'll enjoy magnificent views of the iconic Forth Bridges, one of Scotland's most famous landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's the perfect place to pause, capture some memorable photographs, and admire the engineering marvels spanning the estuary.
If the sun appears, we'll naturally claim full responsibility. If it rains, we'll simply call it authentic Scottish weather.
The Return to Edinburgh
As our day draws to a close, relax in the comfort of your private vehicle as we make our way back to Edinburgh. Along the journey, you'll have time to reflect on the castles, villages, stories, and landscapes that brought Outlander's world to life. By the end of the day, you'll have walked the halls of Castle Leoch, stood before Lallybroch, explored Cranesmuir, and discovered the real Scotland behind the screen.
Your tour concludes with a convenient doorstep drop-off at a location of your choice.
